Sable Wilen-Qureshi Scholarship award
How do attitudes to money, finances and banking services differ in the US in comparison to your home country? If you've recently moved to the US, how did your attitudes change when you moved?
Life in the United States offers incredible opportunities; from work, to travel, to education. Students from all over the world are often enticed by America’s world-renowned Ivy League institutions to study for a single semester or the duration of their degree course.
However, moving to the US is hard, we’ve been there. Finding an apartment, finding friends and getting used to a whole new culture is a challenge. This scholarship awards students in undergraduate or masters programs who can write honestly and cogently the story of how their attitude to money changed, reflecting on cultural differences between the US and their home country. We believe that by sharing our stories on transition to the US, we can benefit all of us.
