You can apply for Sable’s products from anywhere in the world. However, you will need to provide a U.S. mailing address to receive your physical Sable card.
Absolutely! Our products are especially made so that you can enjoy higher credit limits even when you don’t have a U.S. credit history.
Credit Limit & Credit History
Yes - it is one of the great advantages of using a Sable product. We will start reporting your credit history three months after you start using your card, and will retroactively report your credit history, beginning from the first time you make a payment using your Sable account.
Today, Sable offers a secured card and a checking account. The secured card requires you to add a deposit (upto $10,000 max) and gives you a limit upto the deposit you submit. You can use your Sable card to make transactions online or in stores. Sable is launching savings accounts and credit cards (that will not require deposit in the coming months). We offer a secured card with a credit limit against the amount of money you deposit into your account. For example, if you deposit $1,000, we save that money and give you a credit limit of $1,000. You can spend the same amount--by charging it to your Sable card. Why not just use a debit card? Because unlike a debit card, our secured card will build your credit history.
We will also launch unsecured credit soon, and increase your credit limit based on your responsible use of secured card (i.e., on-time payments).
If you are sending money from the United States you can send a direct deposit or a wire transfer.
Direct deposit (also called ACH) is usually free but slower. Wire transfers typically process within a day, but may cost more. Check with your bank to get the exact processing time and cost.
To issue a Direct deposit or wire transfer, go to your bank or online banking and provide the following information:

Your bank might also ask for recipient address - this is your own address in the United States. It is important to provide the same address as you did when you signed up for your Sable Account.
We are working on enabling international wire transfers from every country, but getting approvals for all takes time. In the meantime you can use Transferwise. You can issue transfers from these countries already:
- Czech Republic
- Korea, Republic of (South)
- United Kingdom
- United States
Apple Pay instructions:
- Go to Apple Wallet app and tap + button on the top right corner
- Add card number and 3 digit CSV, and hit next
- Review and agree to the Terms and Conditions
- Verify your account via email or by calling in our bank partner Evolve Bank and Trust
- Update your billing address to the address you provided Sable
- Your card is added and now you can use Apple Pay to make purchases
Google Pay instructions:
- Go to Google Pay app and at the bottom, tap Payment
- At the bottom, tap Add Credit or debit card
- Enter the card details
- If you’re asked to verify your payment method, choose an option from the list
- Find and enter the verification code
After you add a card, you might see a small charge on your account from Google Pay. This charge checks that your card and account are valid. It won’t affect your balance and will go away soon.
You can start using your checking account as soon as you complete the application. You can start using your virtual card as soon as we receive your deposit (8- 48 hrs after submitting the deposit). Your plastic card will be shipped to your mailing address within 8-10 business days of when we receive your deposit.
All data we store is fully encrypted. We leverage Google Cloud’s industry-leading technical measures to secure our platform and prevent service outages. Our technical standards are as good--if not better--than old-school banks so that you can sleep at night. Additionally, Sable does not store any personally identifiable information, which includes any documents you use to verify your identity.
Moving to the US can be stressful on its own. You shouldn’t stress because of your banking data.
